Each year at the Club’s AGM there is two awards given out,
The Encouragement Award is for a pilot who has flown, or
attempted to
fly, under perhaps difficult, unusual, or encouraging circumstances.
Each year it will be awarded to a pilot to encourage and thank them for
their inputs and efforts to the sport of Hang Gliding.
The Peter Batchelor Award which is presented for services
to the club. This service may
be noted in many forms. It may include continual safety at launch
sites, it may include organisation and encouragement of club
activities, or it may be 'behind the scenes' activities. Each year a
perpetual award will go to a member to thank them for their extended
services to the club.
